Urbis Bronze Sculpture

A "stop in your tracks" abstract bronze sculpture gracing the common space at Willowbrook Mall in Houston. It is at once massive at 7' diameter and 3500 pounds, yet delicate, as the intricately developed cut-outs and spaces within it allow light to play throughout the inside of the sculpture. You see an amazing view through a giant mass. An extrordinary commitment to public art initiated this one-of-a-kind commission by sculptor Derek Wernher nearly 30 years ago.
