 Albert and Anne Koetsier |
Albert Koetsier is an inspiration to all who dream of transforming professional skill and talent into a second career that also satisfies a life-long passion. For Koetsier, the skill is x-ray technology and the passion is art photography. His award-winning photography, more specifically x-rayography, is simply so poetic and pretty that it brings great pleasure to all who enjoy it in their living and working spaces. In the photograph above, Albert shares a moment with his wife and soul-mate, Anne, at the wedding of their daughter, Amber.
Koetsier was born in Vassen, Holland and lived in Holland and France until 1979 when he came to the U.S. for an x-ray business management position. He is an x-ray technician by trade and a lover of art by nature. In the mid-90's, after 30-plus years as a technician, he retired to his second full-time career in nature photography. He is a popular attraction at the finest craft fairs throughout the U.S. His work is in demand, and we are grateful that he exhibits his gorgeous photography art on www.GlobalArtisanShowcase.com.
X-rayography is the art of employing x-ray technology to reveal the beauty that lies behind the gorgeous facades of nature. His images begin as black and white silverprints, and all prints are available as handpainted by the artist. Koetsier synthesizes science, art and nature to create artistic photography masterpieces.
