Bianca Petroschi

Thanks to a mutual friend, we met Bianca Petroschi at her home and small studio in remote northeastern Romania.  She lives with her parents, extended family and fiancé in a new and exceptionally nice contemporary home.  The mud streetscape outside is punctuated only by the occasional mule-drawn, hay-filled wagon and by children playing ball.

Bianca Petroschi is a talented young Romanian artist in several mediums—and is on the road to making a name for herself in the art world. She favors traditional folk art styles in handpainted wood.  The painted furniture, chests and boxes in the Global Artisan collection exhibit a rustic style and detail in old world tradition and are painted entirely freehand.  Keep an eye on her.  She accepts custom commissions.
