Varsallona is a gentleman, scholar and master of the art of handpainted ceramics.  From the moment you enter his small shop on the outskirts of the small city of Caltagirone you know that you are in the presence of a professional who takes his art seriously.  He is quiet, friendly, unassuming, devoted to his art and uninterested in mass production or marketing.  Varsallona has declined numerous offers for international distribution and we are very proud that he has chosen Global Artisan Showcase as the venue for his U.S. and worldwide web debut.
