Ioan Nemtoi is rapidly becoming noticed as one of the emerging glass artists throughout Europe. Recent exhibitions of his masterful designer glass vases range from Austria, to France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Japan, USA and Canada.

Ioan Nemtoi was born in 1964 in Botosani, Romania and graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. His studio is located in the area where he was born and raised, due in part to the natural resources available to blown glass artists.  According to Ioan Nemtoi, there is “very fine sand in this area, which is excellent for glass-making.” The symmetrical beauty and  extraordinary color of Ioan Nemtoi glass art  have become the hallmark of the contemporary glass artist. Layers of glass in colors bright to subtle are fired and re-fired to create his designer glass vases, bowls and plates. The glorious result is lush marbling in polished, heavy vessels sure to brighten any home or office. 

Each one-of-a-kind designer glass art piece is hand-thrown and signed by the contemporary glass artist. Ioan Nemtoi vases are reproducible for custom orders.
